3D files
Convert 3D models between STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB and 3MF, view them, clean them up and reduce them, all on your device.

Guide and details
Your models stay on your device
The 3D tools run entirely in your browser. A model is read, checked, converted and saved there and is not sent to AnyConvertor or anyone else. Models are treated as untrusted input: the structure of every file is checked against limits before it is decoded, files that point to other files or web addresses are refused, and nothing is loaded from elsewhere.
Every file the tools write is read again by independent code before it is offered. If the triangle count, the size or the volume do not match, no file is offered.
What is carried over
The tools convert the shape of a model (its triangles) and the base colors of its parts. Textures, animations, skeletons, cameras and lights are not carried over. STL stores only triangles, so colors are lost there by the nature of the format.
FBX and USDZ files can be read and viewed. They cannot be written, because there is no way to write them here that could be checked reliably.
Which tools there are
Converters for the common pairs of STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB, FBX, USDZ and 3MF, viewers for each format, and tools to repair a model, reduce its triangles, split it into parts, convert many files at once, turn a picture into a relief and turn text into 3D letters.
Frequently asked questions
Are my 3D models uploaded?
No. All 3D tools process files locally in your browser.
Which formats can be read?
STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB, glTF, FBX, USDZ and 3MF. Files are recognized by their content, not only by their name.
Which formats can be written?
STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB and 3MF.
Are textures and animations kept?
No. The tools convert the shape and the base colors of the parts.
What if my browser cannot show 3D graphics?
The viewer then shows the numbers about the model and a message. The conversions still work.
