How it works
- Choose a 3D file.
- Choose how to split: by the objects listed in the file or by separate bodies.
- Select the parts to save and the format.
- Download single files or all parts as a ZIP.
Two ways to split
"Objects listed in the file" uses the parts the file names, for example the objects of an OBJ or GLB with several meshes. "Separate bodies" looks at the surface itself and finds pieces that do not touch each other, which also works for STL and PLY files that have only one object.
Each selected part is written as its own file. Several files can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Limits
A model that is one connected piece cannot be split into bodies. Parts keep their position in space, so they fit together again when opened in one program.
Files up to 64 MB with up to 2,000,000 triangles are processed.

Is my model uploaded?
No. It is split in your browser.
What is the difference between objects and bodies?
Objects are the parts the file lists. Bodies are surfaces that do not touch each other, whatever the file calls them.
Can I save only some of the parts?
Yes. Select the parts you need before saving.
Are colors kept?
Where the output format supports them (GLB, 3MF, PLY), the base colors of the parts are kept.
