How it works
- Choose a 3MF file or drag it onto the page.
- Turn the model with the mouse, a finger or the arrow keys and zoom with the wheel, a pinch or plus and minus.
- Read the number of triangles and points and the size of the model.
- Switch to the wireframe to see how the surface is built.
How the preview works
The file is checked and read in a background process, then drawn with WebGL in your browser. The preview shows the shape and the base colors of the parts. Textures, animations and lights of the file are not shown.
If your browser has no WebGL, the numbers about the model are still shown and a message explains why the picture is missing.
About 3MF
3MF (3D Manufacturing Format) is a modern format for 3D printing in a ZIP package. It stores shape in millimetres, colors and materials.
Limits and safety
Files up to 64 MB with up to 2,000,000 triangles are opened. A file that points to other files or web addresses is not followed, because AnyConvertor loads nothing except the one file you choose.
Very large models can make the preview slow on weak devices. The model is then still readable and convertible.
Frequently asked questions
Is my 3MF file uploaded?
No. The file is read in your browser and does not leave your device.
Are textures shown?
No. The preview shows the shape and the base colors of the parts, not textures.
What if my browser cannot show 3D graphics?
You get a message and the numbers about the model. You can still convert the file.
Can I move the view with the keyboard?
Yes. Click the preview, then use the arrow keys to rotate, plus and minus to zoom and 0 to reset.
