Data and tables
Convert tables between Excel, CSV and JSON and format or check JSON, all on your device.
Available tools
Files are processed on your device and never uploaded.
Guide and details
Your data stays on your device
The data tools run entirely in your browser. Tables and JSON are read, converted and saved there and are not sent to AnyConvertor or anyone else. Excel files are treated as untrusted: formulas are never calculated, macros never run and external links are not loaded.
Nothing is silently changed during conversion. Long numbers and leading zeros are kept, and the page names special cases such as missing formula results or nested values.
What the tools do not do
The old Excel format XLS and password protected files are not opened. Formatting, charts and several sheets in one CSV file do not exist. Where a format cannot represent something, the page says so.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded?
No. All data tools process files and text locally in your browser.
Which data tools are available?
XLSX to CSV, CSV to XLSX, JSON to CSV, CSV to JSON, and format and check JSON.
Are formulas in Excel files calculated?
No. The results stored in the file are used. If they are missing, the cell stays empty and you get a note.
Are long numbers and leading zeros kept?
Yes, the tools take digits over as text. A program in which you later open the file may reformat them itself, though.
